Consolidating Logistics Control Attributes (CLCA)

This project identifies and fully documents categories, types, purpose, attributes and sources of information associated with the movement of materials and equipment on capital projects. In addition, this project will develop interoperability compliance strategies.

Benefits

The development of a comprehensive supply chain dataset ensures that all information associated with the handling of materials are identified, organized and structured into a consolidated framework. The supply chain dataset provides the foundation for development of a fully interoperable supply chain information exchange schema, which will comply with industry-ratified interoperability protocols, structures and standards. In addition, heightened awareness of the richness of information generated by logistics operations provides the bases for determining the applicability and viability of advanced analytical techniques to enable realization of Next Generation Project Performance Predicting (NP3).

Opportunities/Status

This project was launched Q1, 2012 and is in the formation phase. To ensure completeness and viability, stakeholders and SMEs from any Materials Management Enterprise area are invited to participate and/or cosponsor in this project.
