FIATECH ANNOUNCES NEW MEETING DATES FOR 2008 and 2009—SAVE THESE DATES

AUSTIN, TX, June 12, 2008 - On October 27-29, 2008, FIATECH will be holding its annual Members Meeting at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, MA. Keith Roe, Chairman, President and CEO of Burns and Roe will chair the meeting with the theme "Creating Sustainable Business Value: Deploying Innovative Technologies." It builds on our highly successful Annual Technology Conference & Showcase in New Orleans this past spring and will provide FIATECH members the opportunity to pick up where the Conference and Showcase left off on accelerating delivery of increased, sustainable business value to our companies.

"Using FIATECH's Capital Projects Technology Roadmap and focusing on each of the nine Elements, we will develop actions on the deployment pathways for leading edge, innovative technologies," explains Keith Roe. "Through meetings and workshops at this 2 1/2 day special Members only event, we will identify hands-on approaches on how we can deploy state-of-the-art and emerging technologies and solutions that will significantly improve the business effectiveness of the capital project industry and enable you to create sustainable business value in your company."

FIATECH's 2009 Technology Conference & Showcase, Where the Best Get Better, is open to the public and will be held April 6-8, 2009 at the Green Valley Ranch just outside Las Vegas, NV. The conference will be chaired by Jerry Gipson, Director, Engineering Solutions Technology Center, The Dow Chemical Company. During those three days, we will be exploring which technologies you should be gambling on and those you should not.

Owners, operators, contractors, technology developers, equipment suppliers, academia, research institutions, construction firms, students and individuals are encouraged to attend this 2 1/2 day, one-of-a-kind conference. The conference includes keynote speakers, innovative breakout sessions and a technology showcase. A call for presentations will be issued at the end of 2008.

A 2008 FIATECH Conference attendee remarked, "I am impressed with the FIATECH members and came away thinking, as a contractor, I might want to join as a member. We need to provide the feedback of what the industry is looking for in software and hardware development to make our industry better. Thank you for the effort and for the vision."

Registration, programs and sponsor opportunities for both events as well as call for presentations and exhibitor information for the conference is available on FIATECH's web site at www.fiatech.org.
