FIATECH Celebrates Engineering and Technology Innovations
April 10, 2008 Austin, TX -- FIATECH recognized and honored 24 organizations and individuals for their work in innovative engineering and construction technologies, April 1, at the annual CETI Award Gala in New Orleans, LA. FIATECH established the CETI Award--Celebration of Engineering & Technology Innovation--in 2006 to recognize significant achievements in new and emerging technology research, development, deployment and implementation throughout the life cycle of a capital project.
FIATECH received 59 nominations, which were reviewed and evaluated by a panel of jurors, comprised of: Sylvia Rappenecker, CAE Discipline Technology Leader, Engineering Solutions Tech Center, The Dow Chemical Company (CETI Chair); James H. Garrett, Jr., Ph.D., Professor and Head, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University; Bart Neighbors, P.E., PMP, Project Development Group, ConocoPhillips; Tom Sawyer, Information Technology Editor, Engineering News-Record; Todd Sutton, Business Unit Manager, Zachry Construction; Matt Wheelis, Senior Product Manager, Autodesk.
Jerry Gipson, Director, Engineering Solutions Technology Center, The Dow Chemical Company and Bart Neighbors, P.E., PMP, Project Development Group, ConocoPhillips announced the 2007 CETI Awards at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans in the following 12 categories.
