Fiatech Partners with SPAR Europe 2012 to Host One-day Europe and Middle East Meeting

Austin, TX, August 22, 2012 — Building upon the success of its meeting held last year at SPAR Europe 2011, Fiatech is proud to announce that we have partnered with the SPAR Point Group once again to hold a one-day meeting on November 12, 2012, in conjunction with the SPAR Europe 2012 event in The Hague, Netherlands.

This meeting is targeted at companies based in Europe and Middle East, particularly:

• Owners and operators that build and operate large assets such as refineries, power plants, health care facilities, large commercial and public buildings, infrastructure and manufacturing facilities.
• Providers of engineering, design, procurement and construction.
• Technology and equipment providers in the field of capital project delivery and operations.

The event will be an ideal opportunity to meet and network with existing Fiatech members as well as learn about new innovative technologies, Fiatech's projects and how to get involved in Fiatech. Attendees will also learn more about Fiatech's mission to lead global development and adoption of innovative practices and technologies to realize the highest business value throughout the life cycle of capital assets.

The detailed agenda for the meeting is under development by Fiatech's European Advisory Council and Fiatech staff. Early proposed topic areas for the meeting include:

• Building Information Modelling (BIM) and 3D visualization technologies
• Advancement and harmonization of industry interoperability standards (IFCs and ISO 15926 standards)
• Automated code checking and compliance for regulatory authorities
• Mobile technologies
• Augmented reality
• User acceptance of technology and workforce issues
