Jerry Gipson is director of manufacturing and engineering information technology for Dow Chemical. He has been with the company for more than 30 years and has served in technical areas as well as in management. In his current position, he is accountable for strategic planning and IT delivery. His experience includes process development, plant start-up and improvement, engineering fundamentals and modeling, and technology management. Within the global technology community, Gipson is known as a champion of standards-based industry solutions. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from New Mexico State University.
